This is becoming a very common scene at our house lately. We’ve been barbequing quite a bit lately. We’ve done chicken, steak, shrimp, and pineapple. So, for my mom’s birthday on Wednesday we barbequed again. This time we did chicken with a special marinade recipe from my sister-in-law’s family. It was delicious!

For dessert my sister made angel food cake (which we always have for my mom’s birthday). She even made it from scratch! It was also very tasty.

My dad recently added a gas flame to our fire pit and moved it into the gazebo. We sat out there for a while that night and enjoyed the warmth while the sun went down. We all decided it was a great addition to the back yard!
