Last week I got to photograph another beautiful wedding cake made by Cassidy Budge. She is so talented! This cake was the first I’ve photographed where a florist did the flowers which was a little different. The cake was so beautiful! So this is a buttercream wedding cake and the inside was chocolate mint. Isn’t that a cool idea for a wedding cake? I sure haven’t heard of it before, not that I am an expert on wedding cakes. Be prepared for photo overload :). While I was in Utah at the end of September I got to go to the Sundance Harvest Market with my family. My uncle gave us all a ride on the chairlift and then we hiked down to Stewart Falls. The fall colors were amazing and the views were gorgeous! My wonderful friend who lives in the Boston area invited Kevin and me to go to the Head of the Charles with her and her husband. Not knowing anything about it we agreed to go :). Turns out it was amazing! (not that I didn’t think it would be… we just didn’t know what it was or what to expect) So, for those of you who don’t know, it is actually called the Head of the Charles Regatta and is not a place (although it is that too…) but an event! This is the world’s largest two day rowing event. It was so much fun! Read more →

On Columbus Day Kevin didn’t have to go to school so we decided to go on an outing together. We decided to visit Gore Place. Gore Place is the house and estate of one of the previous governors of Massachusetts. The estate is about 20 acres and most of it is open space or trees. It does have a really cute farm house with quite a few animals (lot of chickens) and a carriage house as well.  Read more →

On Mount Auburn Street in Watertown is this cute little store, Cass Flower Shop and Design School. Although I had taken the bus past this store several times (on my way to and from Mount Auburn Cemetery) I hadn’t noticed it. Jared pointed it out to me once while we were driving and I decided I definitely needed to stop by. After all, it’s not very often that I come across a store with my name! Read more →
