One of the many benefits of not having a car and walking everywhere is you get to enjoy the scenery. My favorite thing about Boston (I’m sure I’ll say that a lot) is the architecture. The homes here especially are amazing! I love all the different colors of wood paneling and trims. Also, I’ve discovered that I really like diamond windows. They can make just about any house look so much cuter than it would otherwise. I still haven’t decided what color I would have my house (if I had to pick one) but I’m partial to teal, yellow and grey, although purple is also becoming more appealing to me. Read more →

While trying to find an antiques store on Mass Ave, we ran across this building, St. John the Evangelist Church. It happened to be near a bus stop we waited at for about 10 minutes so I thought I’d take some pictures. This post is a little bit random and short, but I wanted to share these images. There is a fun park next to our house in Boston. I’ve taken Evelyn there a couple of times. One of times we went the light was shining through the playground structure and created this really cool pattern of polka-dots. Evelyn liked that it made polka-dots on our faces. Read more →

I’m going to be starting a new section on my blog called “Things to See in Boston”. I’m sure you have no idea what these posts will be about right? Well, I just thought that since I’ll be here for a while I would post about some things that I think are worth visiting while in the Boston area. They may not be Boston’s main attractions (although some may be) but they will be things that I think are interesting and would likely be interesting to other people. These posts will most likely be heavy on images and light on text, however, I’ll list some reasons why you may want to visit.

Today’s Thing to See in Boston is Walden Pond. Read more →

These beautiful Brazillian Lilies have been in the kitchen for the last few days. They are so beautiful! The way the light hits them in the morning really accentuates the deep pink spots on the leaves and makes the white so bright and elegant. Read more →
