Last week I got to photograph another beautiful wedding cake made by Cassidy Budge. She is so talented! This cake was the first I’ve photographed where a florist did the flowers which was a little different. The cake was so beautiful! So this is a buttercream wedding cake and the inside was chocolate mint. Isn’t that a cool idea for a wedding cake? I sure haven’t heard of it before, not that I am an expert on wedding cakes. I love all the little details in the frosting. With that, I’ll let the photos say the rest! Read more →

As I mentioned yesterday, as part of my walk along Newbury Street I stopped at the new Georgetown Cupcake store per a friend’s recommendation. While their signature cupcake is Red Velvet (which is not at the top of my list of favorite cupcakes) I opted for two flavors that were more of a favorite. I got a chocolate hazelnut and chocolate3.  Read more →

About a week and a half ago we went to the Brimfield Antique Show which is one of the biggest antiques shows on the east coast. Kevin has recently become interested in the art of shaving. He’s been looking for antique razors and had a couple in mind that he wanted to purchase. One of the first days we were in Boston we went to different antique stores looking for them. There weren’t very many to be found, but one store recommended we go to the Brimfield Antique Show so we looked it up. Once we did, we were hooked!

Last week I got a chance to photograph some cute little opera cakes that Cassidy Budge made. They were so cute! When she told me they were about an inch I thought they must be bigger. Turns out they were just an inch! They were fun to photograph! For more things made by Cassidy Budge you can look at the links below. Read more →

A couple weeks ago I got to photographed another wedding cake for Cassidy Budge. This cake was also incredible! The bride’s colors were yellow and blue with delphiniums as her flower. I could not believe how real Cassidy’s flowers on the cake looked. So beautiful! This wedding cake also has yellow polka dot accents and white scalloped circles on each layer that resemble doilies. She is one talented baker! Enjoy the loveliness! Read more →

Chocolate Zucchini Bread

You may remember the cute coconut cupcakes and the amazing ruffle wedding cake that my friend Cassidy Budge made a while back. She called me again to see if I wanted to photograph some chocolate zucchini bread that she made. Naturally I said yes! I was thinking bread wasn’t the most exciting thing to photograph but it would still be fun. I was pleasantly surprised when she showed me the loaves she made with beautiful candied zucchini on top! It was such a nice touch and made the chocolate zucchini bread look much more interesting and tasty. I thought doing the candied zucchini was so clever! Read more →

This is becoming a very common scene at our house lately. We’ve been barbequing quite a bit lately. We’ve done chicken, steak, shrimp, and pineapple. So, for my mom’s birthday on Wednesday we barbequed again. This time we did chicken with a special marinade recipe from my sister-in-law’s family. It was delicious! Read more →

Memorial Day Breakfast

Every year for a long time my grandparents have hosted a breakfast at their house on Memorial Day for all of my grandpa’s extended family. It is a pretty big deal and people drive from quite a ways away to come. It’s fun to see people we haven’t seen for a while and we get to eat delicious food! In the past couple years it has been simplified so that everyone brings something to share and we no longer cook eggs, bacon, and pancakes. While all of that is good, it is a lot less work for my grandparents to not have to worry about cooking. All that said, here are some photos of the delicious spread we had this year! Thanks to everyone who came! Read more →
